The iconic KRO & WHOG radio station buildings are now home to modern flexible office & coworking space in the up and coming Riverfront District in Daytona Beach.
Workspace Collective, the latest addition to the vibrant cultural landscape of Daytona, is thrilled to showcase a remarkable mural created by local artist E.J. Nieves. Nieves is not only an accomplished artist and muralist but also a gallery owner with an inspiring commitment to mentoring young artists.
The mural at Workspace Collective Daytona is a testament to Nieves' diverse artistic influences and deep connection to Florida's history. Inspired by Florida’s natural elements, such as the orange industry and orange blossoms, as well as its iconic beaches and the origins of NASCAR, the mural is a rich tapestry of cultural references.
The incorporation of Dale Earnhardt's legendary number "3" on the car is a symbolic nod to racing history -- and signifies Workspace Collective's third location. The whiskey bottle featured in the mural pays homage to the prohibition times, adding historical dimension to the artwork.
The public is invited to experience this exceptional mural at Workspace Collective Daytona, located at 132 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The unveiling event will take place in early February, providing an opportunity for the community to engage with artist E.J. Nieves, the founders of Workspace Collective and celebrate the fusion of art, history, and collaboration.
